Our Facility

At Oregon Giant Schnauzers, our puppy facilities are kept immaculate. We keep the yard in top condition for the safety and health of our puppies and their mothers.

Quality time and attention is given to our dogs. We believe that social and personal care are essential to the mental and emotional health of our dogs. We talk to and play with our puppies as well give them lots of cuddles. We value them feeling loved.

Introductions, I am Brenda, the owner and breeder of these lovely dogs.  In my early teens I moved to the Willamette Valley in Oregon, where I helped my father raise goats, chickens, rabbits, and a pig. For several years I owed and rode a Welsh Quarter horse cross. In sum, I’m an animal lover. Throughout my life, I have owned and loved several breeds of dogs, which led me to my favorite breed: the Giant Schnauzer.  In March 2023 I purchased my first breeding lady to start a new linage. I have selected a handsome Breeding Stud to complement my lady, and you will meet this Breeding Stud on a separate page after my lady is bred.

I own a lovely one acre property on which I work to keep my dogs happy and healthy.  My facility is located in Central Oregon in La Pine, Oregon.  The dogs frolic and play on much of the acreage with lawn and fenced and cross fenced with an abundance of safety features.  There is endless sun here in Central Oregon, but there are many Ponderosa and Lodgepole Pine trees towering over to keep them cool and comfortable in the summer.

The dogs have dog door access at all times my garage for heat when the warm summer days dwindle and cool in the heat of summer. My dogs are family so they live with me in the house. Of course when my lady is in heat, or confirmed to be bred, she is kept inside each night for her safety.  My lady is groomed regularly to keep mom looking fabulous, paying special attention to her belly and longer leg furnishings.  These dogs faces and eyes may need to be cleaned daily, as they have a tendency to mat due to their long, thick brows and beards.

My lady is in our home daily with my other dog and two cats, visiting every evening until it’s time for lights out.  They are well-mannered, but you may frequently end up cuddling half of a Giant in your lap and it gets especially crowded when everyone decides all need to cuddle at once.  Yes spoiled, but well-mannered.

Puppy mills are something that every puppy purchaser should avoid like the plague.  These facilities make a serious breeder look very bad, and the Mill breeders will not allow access to their facility for obvious reasons.  However, there are some shelters and especially the Online presence of breed specific puppy sales that advertise sales throughout the US, without any reference whatsoever to the breeder’s facility.  These too good to be true sales, with lower than the norm prices, are another indicia of puppy mill bred puppies.
